The Utah Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) also provides statewide criminal history records and background checks to eligible applicants. Per state laws, only record subjects, authorized third parties, and government entities are allowed access to criminal history records. Record subjects who wish to request their criminal records on behalf of a third party must complete and attach a Third-party release form and the receiving address for the requested record to their application. The BCI charges a fee of $15 payable by credit/debit cards, cash (in-person requests only), checks, or money orders made out to “The Utah Bureau of Criminal Investigation”. Acceptable photo identification includes a driver's license, consulate ID, passport, and state ID. Eligible parties may request criminal records from the BCI by submitting a filled-out application form, photo ID, and fee of $15 to:

Get Tooele County Civil Court Records

Tooele County's Clerk of Court manages court records produced during Civil proceedings such as small claims, adoptions, divorce, guardianship, and child support. These records are available to the public provided they are not sealed, private, or protected court records as categorized by state laws. Interested persons may obtain public civil court records by completing a Request for Court Record form and submitting it to the clerk's office in person or via mail.

The Clerk's office charges $0.25 per page for paper records, $15 per electronic storage media (CDs or USB), $5 for 10 pages of fax/email, and $0.5 per subsequent page. Depending on the nature and volume of the requested record, one may need to pay the court staff for labor or research time after 15 minutes of free search. Remote access to Tooele civil court records is also provided by the state judicial branch on XChange.

To access civil case information on XChange, requesters must create an account, log in, and pay the stipulated fees. One-time use costs $5, $0.20 per search and $0.50 per document viewed; there is also the option of a Monthly subscription at $40 per month for 500 searches, an initial setup fee of $25, and $0.50 per additional document. Interested persons may obtain civil court records from XChange on their personal devices or utilize the public access terminals provided by the courthouses in the County.

Tooele County Marriage Records

The County Clerk's Office is the repository for Tooele County Marriage records. Under Utah laws, certified marriage records are open only to record subjects, their spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, legal representatives, or persons with a court order. Uncertified copies may, however, be requested by anyone. Interested persons may request certified copies of a Tooele County Marriage certificate from the clerk's office at $10 per copy, payable by card, check, or cash. Additional copies cost $2 each, while uncertified copies of marriage certificates cost $1 each.

One may also search for certified and uncertified copies of marriage records online via the Tooele County Clerk's Self-service webpage. Adequate information about the relationship between the requestor and the record subject, including valid identification, must be provided to access marriage records online.

Tooele County Divorce Records

The Tooele County District Court hears divorce cases, preserves the records, and makes them available to the public, provided they are not sealed or protected by law. Tooele County Birth and Death Records

Tooele County Vital records are records of marriage, birth, death, and other important events that occur in the life of county residents. The County Health Department maintains Tooele County birth records from 1931 to the present and death records filed from 2006 to date. A Tooele County birth certificate costs $22 for the first copy and $10 per additional copy, while death certificates cost $30 for the first and $10 per extra copy.

Due to their sensitivity and legal importance, birth and death records are not publicly available in Tooele County. Only the named individuals on the record, their spouse, parents, siblings, children, and grandparents, are granted access to these vital records. Eligible individuals may complete either a Birth Certificate Application or a Death Certificate Application and submit it alongside the required fees and identification to the Health Department.

Tooele County Probate Court records are preserved by the Clerk's office or the Utah Division of Archives and Records Service.
